THE UNSEEN (PREMIERE) @ FREI ART FESTIVAL, FREIBURG, GERMANY

The Unseen explores how invisible forces—desire, control, attachment, and influence—leave lasting marks on our bodies, movements, and relationships. Two figures navigate a space that is part stage, part game, part mirror, caught between what they choose and what is imposed upon them.

Through interactions with a single chair, the two characters move between resistance, surrender, and mirroring. The chair becomes a catalyst: at times a site of control, at times an object of obsession, at times a reflection of themselves. Their movements repeat, echo, and escalate, tracing cycles of attachment, influence, and transformation.

The title points to the central tension of the work: like a brand, the unseen forces of desire and control leave marks that shape identity and behavior, even when their presence is not directly visible.
